Mandatory Vaccination Policy
Keeping Our Guests Safe: Vaccination Requirements
For the health, safety, and protection of every dog staying at Two Gates, we enforce a strict vaccination policy. Unvaccinated dogs will strictly be refused entry.
Before booking your dog’s stay, please speak to your vet to ensure all necessary boosters are up to date. You must bring your dog’s physical vaccination record with you on drop-off day.
Our Commitment to Protection
Please note that while the Kennel Cough vaccine isn’t 100% foolproof against every airborne strain, it drastically reduces transmission risks. If a vaccinated dog does catch it, their symptoms are much milder, and it recovers significantly faster. We enforce our strict rules because we try our absolute best to ensure the highest standard of protection for your dog.

Important: The 21-Day Kennel Cough Rule
Please pay close attention to the timing of the Kennel Cough (Bordetella) protection:
The 21-Day Rule
The Kennel Cough protection vaccine must be administered at least 21 days BEFORE your dog’s boarding stay begins.
Why We Insist on 21 Days
The Kennel Cough vaccine is a LIVE vaccine. It takes time to build immunity, and a dog can actively shed the virus immediately after receiving it. A minimum 21-day window guarantees our entire facility remains a safe environment.
Strict Policy
If the Kennel Cough vaccine was administered less than 21 days before your arrival date, we will be forced to refuse entry to protect the health of our other guests.
Our Modern facilities
Our investment in the newer extension reflects our commitment to providing our clients with the very best for their pets. This is not only a big step for Two Gates Kennels but one for smaller independent kennels which are keen to respond to local authority and government demands by taking dog boarding to the next level.
Each suite has its own heating and can be set to a specific temperature – handy during our unpredictable winters. The toughened glass kennel fronts provide superior protection ensuring that your pets enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay. There is a section of frosted glass so that if your pet decides it wants a little more privacy they can retire behind it.
All our kennels are heated with an adjoining individual covered run, so your dog will enjoy a safe, warm and secure environment. If you have a larger dog or multiples of dogs our new extension offers deluxe suites so that your dogs can stay together throughout their holiday. Background music plays during the day which helps to promote a home from home atmosphere.
